The December 2024 CR: who won, who lost PBM reform

Government shutdown averted. Who won? Who Lost?

In a small sense we all win when the government doesn’t shut down, but that’s a low bar.

It was a big loss for PBM reform. Bipartisan, bicameral reform that would have been some of the first real significant legislation to actually address the cost of drugs in the country stalled.

We’ve got to keep pushing. Since this deal is only good until March, we will be fighting to get the healthcare provisions in the next round.

Capcon is February 23-26. This will be perfect timing to make an impact.
