Testifying for NJ medical loss ratio alignment

Milestone event today: I testified in our NJ Senate Commerce Committee in support of a bill that will bring NJ’s MLR calculations more in line with the federal calculation.

That’s a really wonky topic, but it was great to be able to share some of my experience and expertise with our legislators.

My friend and fellow NABIP of Central New Jersey board member Mark Shore did a great job as well.

The committee members asked insightful questions and were engaged with the legislation. We got the bill out of Committee (which was our goal).

Picture of my parking pass for attention because I forgot to take a picture 🤣
