Price Transparency Is Working! ๐Ÿš€

Turquoise Health analyzed nearly 400,000 negotiated rates between health systems and insurers for 37 common services across the 10 largest metro areas. The findings are promising:

๐Ÿ’ก Rates above the 75th percentile are declining by 6.3% annually!

According to Forrest Xiao, Turquoiseโ€™s Director of Quantitative Research, โ€œWeโ€™re still in the early days, but we see encouraging signs that price transparency is helping make progress.โ€

This is a much needed turn in the right direction for healthcare costs. ๐Ÿ“‰ It turns out sunshine is a pretty good disinfectant. ๐Ÿฆ
